Pagan Dawn

Pagan Dawn - Editorial Assistant
We need a diligent, keen person for vital editorial backup, working closely with the Editor and Production Editor. Working on a voluntary basis, you'll need reliable access to a computer, internet and email, putting in regular hours on each issue, with some additional work at busy times. You'll need to work to deadlines, unsupervised, using the Dropbox and Word/Pages. Responsibilities include collecting competition entries, helping deal with reader enquiries and letters, requesting review materials, collecting addresses for contributor copies and collating reader submissions. A great chance to join a growing magazine, with plenty of scope for writing too. Covering letter and experience/CV by October 1st 2015 to: pagandawn, marked "Editorial Assistant application."

Pagan Dawn - Advertising/marketing manager
Ad sales with a soul! As with all positions this is a voluntary role and all ad revenue is reinvested, helping to grow the magazine directly. We're looking for an enthusiastic person driven not by commission, but by passion for PD and the Pagan Federation. Some previous advertising/ marketing experience is preferable, but not essential. Ideally, you'll have some contacts, but be keen to make many more, bringing in Pagan businesses and organisations to advertise, and seeking out new outlets for magazine distribution. Access to a computer, email and internet are vital, as is a desire to make contacts, seek out new advertisers, look after existing ones, and work closely with the editorial team. Hours are flexible, but expect to be busier around deadline, when you'll be making sure all advertising materials are present and correct. A terrific job for a Pagan butterfly who loves to socialise and always has a full diary and address book! If this sounds like you, send a covering letter and experience/CV by October 1st 2015 to: pagandawn, marked "Advertising/Marketing Manager application."

Pagan Dawn - News Editor
As we develop, bringing vital Pagan-relevant news to our readers will need a dedicated newshound. The News Editor will be responsible for filling the news section of each edition of Pagan Dawn in good time, with a spread of stories to enlighten and inform. Working solo but reporting in to the main editorial team, you'll gather and fact-check news stories, looking to work with our existing news contacts as well as developing your own. This is an ideal position for someone with their ear to the ground who wants to share the diverse and vibrant world of Pagan news with our readers. To apply, send a covering letter and experience/CV by October 1st 2015 to pagandawn, marked "News Editor application".

Pagan Dawn - Designers
Pagan Dawn gets more beautiful with each issue and we need more designers to help keep it that way! You'll need access to a reliable computer running a recent version of InDesign, as well as internet access and email. Working collaboratively as a volunteer with a team based all round the country, you'll report in to our experienced Production Editor. Work hours are flexible, but expect to work additional hours around deadline, and all applicants must be able to work unsupervised to set deadlines. Some subbing experience is preferable but not essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to set your mark on a unique and  evolving magazine, in a team that nurtures and encourages creativity. If you're yearning to unleash your design prowess, send a covering letter and experience/CV by October 1st 2015 to pagandawn, marked "Designer application".

Pagan Dawn - Photographers/artists
Pictures dance with words through the pages of Pagan Dawn, and we would love to feature the work of more you photographers and artists out there. All works must be original, and you must be willing to have your work featured in the pages of Pagan Dawn as well as - on occasion and with permission - on social media. Imagery needs to be supplied in JPEG form, 300dpi resolution, with a file size as large as possible, but in general, no less than 1Mb. As with all Pagan Dawn positions, this is an unpaid role, but all imagery will be credited to the artist, with links to websites and social media pages. This is a satellite role, working solo and proactively, but contributors need to be aware of magazine deadlines and supply materials to the editorial team in good time. To apply, send a covering letter and experience/CV by October 1st 2015 to pagandawn, marked "Photographer/artist application".
